Summer Bucket List

Any type A personality like myself will tell you that lists are the key to organizational success, and for myself, they are quite therapeutic. Neurotic as that sounds, I create lists daily to outline my daily tasks and ideas and I will write them down anywhere from scraps of paper to one of my several agendas I keep. This summer bucket list is more special to me, as I will be going abroad to Paris for an entire year next fall, I want to take full advantage of all that my home in northern California has to offer before I leave.
·      throw a dinner party in the backyard for friends
·      adventure northern California
·      experiment with recipes
·      enjoy time with friends and family
·      gain meaningful work experience
·      make (and save!) money for study abroad
·      prepare for Paris
·      try yoga and/or pilates
·      perfect an amazing wardrobe
·      paint/redecorate closet
·      start (and COMPLETE) and art project or D.I.Y project
·      explore local antique stores
·      be healthy
·      go outdoors as often as possible

I absolutely love these pictures taken at Stinson Beach by fellow Bay Area blogger at Deliciously Organized. I have been going to Stinson for years now, but have never really appreciated the subtle beauty of the quaint beach front town. This makes me want to go back with my new camera!

Photo Phun

Obsessed.obsessed.obsessed with this photo. I don't know why but I love the effortlessly cool tomboy look of this girl and her camera, with the vintage black and white touch. My new love for photography is encompassed in this photo...maybe I hope to be as chic as her with my new Nikon D3000?? A girl can dream.

The Perfect Wedge

One of the best parts about summer, besides looking forward to the lazy days, the warm nights, and the yummy barbecues, is the fashion. Summer is the perfect opportunity to bring out your inner-child and run around in a ripped pair of cut-offs jean shorts, an oversized teeshirt and a ratty pair of flip-flops. That being said, a summer soirée is the perfect excuse to dress up and get creative with different flowery prints and flirty dresses paired with a classic summer wedge or espadrille. I have been on the hunt for the perfect summer wedge, scouring over websites, catalogs, and shoe stores for several weeks now. Here are my top four picks (all under $100!):

Up and Running!

While I was in the midst of studying for finals, my study breaks consisted of creating a summer bucket list (well that and countless Starbucks trips). Number one on my list? FINALLY make the blog I had been dreaming about for so long. So much of my time is spent perusing wedding, fashion and design blogs, and they bring me such joy and inspiration so I decided I wanted to be a part of such a magical world. So here it is! I hope you enjoy :)

My motivation for finishing finals. I'm so lucky to call this home.
